On July 13, 2019, a solemn reception was held at the Ýyldyz hotel on the occasion of the national holiday of France - Bastille Day or Independence Day of the country. The siege and the capture of the fortress - one of the greatest events in history. It became a symbol of the political liberation achieved by the revolution, and the very word “Bastille” became a common noun.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Francois Delaus spoke at the reception with the official part. Hotel Ýyldyz was honored to organize the reception of 400 guests. The solemn event was held on the terrace of the Ýyldyz hotel.
France is one of the important trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. The trade turnover between the two countries in 2018 reached 82 million euros. The largest France companies - Bouygues, Vinci, Schneider Electric and others have long been successfully operating in the market of Turkmenistan. Also, bilateral cooperation is developing in the cultural and scientific field.
